Previous studies have found that breakfast egg dishes helps
reduce weight by 65 % faster than consumption in the early days of any other food such as calories , but high in carbohydrates , such as baking.
Now, scientists from the University of Connecticut decided to go ahead and find out exactly how do these two most common types of breakfast on appetite, as well as the consumption of other products for men during the day. A report on research published in the February issue of the journal Food Research (Nutrition Research).
In the experiment, was attended by 22 people . On the first day of testing participants were offered a protein breakfast of eggs , the other day
- breakfast, rich in carbohydrates . Every day, three hours after breakfast, men were invited for lunch to the buffet , where the choice of dishes is not restricted. Despite the fact that both calorie breakfast were identical, different days of behavior on the buffet table was different.
In a day when breakfast was eggs , the subjects have used during lunch at 112 calories less. A daily intake of calories in the day in general was less than 400 calories . According to the results of blood tests , hormone levels of hunger ghrelin was higher in the day when the breakfast was pastries . And we know that Ghrelin stimulates appetite and creates less leptin , which suppresses appetite.
Based on this study’s author , professor, Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Connecticut, Ph.D. Maria Luz Fernandez (Maria Luz Fernandez, Ph.D) recommends eating eggs for breakfast, as they provide a feeling of satiety for a long time and contain only 70 calories .
